The BSI (Boîtier de Servitude Intelligent) is a central control unit in the BOOM Trikes automatic models with Peugeot engine. The BSI works closely with other control units in the vehicle, such as the engine control unit and transmission control unit. It is a special development that is only installed in BOOM trikes.Two generations of the BSI were installed in the Peugeot 2.0 engines.Generation 1 (gold or black)The first generation is a gold or black anodised aluminium housing with two plugs on the top and one on the side. This version is no longer available. It is replaced by generation 2 of the BOOM BSI. This is a kit consisting of the BSI board, the housing and connectors with pins for conversion. In addition, the engine control unit (ECU) must be sent in for reprogramming. Generation 2 (silver) The second generation is a stainless steel housing with two connectors on the side. This is the latest version and only the circuit board in the housing needs to be replaced.

Especially after the winter break, it is essential to charge the battery first, and always remember: switch on the ignition, wait 2 seconds (just wait until the petrol pump stops whirring) and only then press the starter button!
