When BOOM Trikes Fahrzeugbau AG sent a letter to its business partners and customers on 1 June 2022 informing them that it would cease operations on 30 June 2022, this caused a tremor in the trike scene. What would happen to all the great trikes? How would the supply of spare parts be organised? What if technical documents are needed? What would happen to all the great workshops, dealers and hire centres?

Questions upon questions.

This phase also caused us sleepless nights. We finally decided to give it a try and save the entire stock of spare parts, technical drawings, expertises, brand names, welding equipment, in other words everything that makes up the heart of the vehicles, from disappearing.

After countless negotiations, meetings and appointments with lawyers, bankers and notaries, the time had finally come:

On 1 November 2022, trike.company SG VertriebsgmbH concluded a purchase agreement with BOOM Trikes Fahrzeugbau AG for the warehouse and other mobile capital goods. BOOM Trikes Fahrzeugbau AG still exists, but has completely withdrawn from operations.

We cleared out the warehouse lorry by lorry and moved it to our premises. "We" means the managing director Stefan Gut with his family, parents, siblings and friends. "We" are not a company like BOOM with dozens of employees. "We" try to use our modest resources to enable all BOOM riders in the world to continue to indulge in their great pastime.

As was to be expected, BOOM had let the parts warehouse "bleed out" over a long period of time. We are fighting every day with producers to be supplied with smaller quantities, which is of course also reflected in the unit prices (it makes a difference whether we have 10 comfort forks manufactured or 100). But we are not giving up and can proudly claim to have found a solution for almost every spare parts problem so far (even if it sometimes takes longer, much to our and your regret).

At this point, an appeal to all BOOM trike owners: Support your local dealer/workshop! Order your wear parts through them! To put it bluntly: We and the local dealers/workshops are the last resort to prevent your vehicles from becoming "scrap metal" in the worst case. At the latest then, the joy of saving a few euros when buying brake pads etc. will not last long if highly specific parts such as control units and frame parts and repair workshops are no longer available. Every company needs its bread-and-butter business.

We thank you for your support and your trust
